BEING ON STAGE, a documentary on the life and work of Italian theatre artist Alessandro Fersen, directed by Paola Bertolone.
Alessandro Fersen (1911-2001) was a director, playwright, pedagogue, theatre theorist, and experimenter. The documentary was made in 2004. It contains interviews with Lele Luzzati and Ferruccio Marotti, footage of materials at the Museo dell'Attore in Genoa, videos from Raiteche, radio recordings, and footage from the Study Day dedicated to Fersen in 2004.
The documentary was subtitled in English by Paola Bertolone, Department of Planning, Design, Technology of Architecture, Sapienza University of Rome, in collaboration with Prof. John Green, Theatre Department, Columbia College Chicago. John Green is the author of the book *Mnemodrama in Action. An Introduction to the Theatre of Alessandro Fersen*, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2019.
